By Isah Babayo  You may recall that a few months ago, the North East Development Commission trained young people in six (6) states of the North East region on a solar installation program for a period of six days, which took place at the NITDA ICT Centre in Gombe State, where participants learned valuable skills in solar panel installation. The trainees have been called upon to participate in the form of volunteers for the ongoing solar street light installation projects executed by the commission across various locations in Gombe State. The trainees who participated in the installations at Emir Palace and Tashan Dukku were impressed by the dedication and support from the NEDC's Managing Director Mohammed Goni Alkali and Executive Director of Operations, Mr. Abdulsalam Ahmed Yahaya. By Isah Babayo  The Gombe state acting coordinator of the North East Development Commission, NEDC, Alh Rufai Lawan Babamanu, paid a visit to the deputy governor of Gombe state, Dr. Manasa Daniel, in his office today.  The visit was to brief the deputy governor with a detailed overview of the upcoming intervention projects that the commission is planning to execute in the state, focusing in areas such as education, health, youth development, and agriculture.
