Tsangaya Model Primary School in Kumo, Akko Local Government Area of Gombe State, is one of the many schools that have benefited from the donations of learning materials provided by the North East Development Commission (NEDC).

The recent donation of learning materials from the commission, which has provided the school with essential tools for their academic journey, will sharpen the students horizons.

The donation included bags loaded with textbooks, notebooks, pencils, a set of new shoes, and a jacket T-shirt for the students.

Additionally, the school received whiteboards and other teaching aids that will help enhance the learning environment.

Akko Education Secretary, Mallam Ahmed Lamido Danladi, has expressed his appreciation for the commission's intervention.

He commended the commission's quick response and dedication to improving the educational landscape in the region.

His words, "The commission's efforts in changing the face of education in our state are truly commendable," Danladi said.

"Their timely and impactful support has made a significant difference in the lives of our students, and we are deeply grateful for their generosity."

The Education Secretary further urged other organizations and stakeholders to emulate the commission's example and invest in similar initiatives.

"If more organisations follow the commission's lead, we can transform the education sector and shape the hearts and minds of our children, preparing them to compete on a global stage," Danladi said.

Alh. Rufai Lawan Babamanu, the NEDC coordinator in Gombe State, appreciated the kind words expressed by the Education Secretary.

"Transforming education is one of the core mandates of the commission, and we are committed to making a unique difference in the lives of students across the North East region," Babamanu stated.

"We have already accomplished a great deal, and we will continue to expand our efforts to ensure that the children in our communities have access to quality education."

The donation to Tsangaya Model Primary School is just one example of the commission's ongoing efforts to uplift educational standards in the region.

The commission is working to bridge the gap and provide equal opportunities for all children, regardless of their socioeconomic background or geographic location.
